A Message to the Citizens of Randolph County

To the citizens of Randolph County, I would like to thank you for allowing me to be your Sheriff. I worked very hard in this first term to bring the Sheriff's Office back to where we need to be going into the future. We have added many new positive changes to our office that benefits each citizen in this county. I made a promise to each one of you that I would create a better work environment for our members and make decisions that benefit you, the taxpayer, instead of special interest groups with their agenda.

Leadership is a quality that is learned and cannot be taught. The administration is establishing a clear vision and sharing that vision with others. A leader will provide the necessary instruction and methods (tools) so that others will follow with the same goal in mind. Leaders will not shy away from making decisions. I pledge to you that I will make decisions that will benefit you.

I will encourage each member of our Sheriff's office to be a mentor, coach, or big brother/sister to children throughout our county. I have always been involved in my community and plan to continue my efforts in that area. Together we can continue to improve the relationship between law enforcement and the public.

It may be just a job to the staff and deputies working at the Randolph County Sheriff's Office. To our citizens, though, it is a service paid for by their hard earned taxes. The taxpayer deserves the best available service provided to them. All employees, including myself, will give the best service possible in a professional and respectful way to each person we encounter while doing our work.

I humbly ask for your vote in 2022 so we can continue our mission of becoming the best law endforcement entity in this state.

"The best leader is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and the self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it." -Theodore Roosevelt
