Citizens of Randolph County

For the last three decades it has been my honor to serve the people of this great county as a member of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and as a community volunteer. I believe strongly in faith, family, and community. As such, after much praying and support from my family, it is my honor to announce my candidacy for the Sheriff of Randolph County.  I have a lot to offer, more to do, and also much more to accomplish in my law enforcement career and time serving others.

I will bring more service and less politics to the Office of the Sheriff. I believe all residents of this great county should have the same voice as others. I pledge to you that I will work with other county entities to minimize crime and criminal behavior. We need to concentrate on the concerns of the citizens of this county. I volunteer much of my time to work with community services throughout the county. Doing this allows me to experience the concerns first hand. We must get our community involved with the Sheriff's Office. As the chief law enforcement officer of Randolph County, you will not hear me or any other department employee say these two phrases: “I cannot help you” or “There is nothing I can do”.

Growing up in a single parent home, I learned that you have to work harder and be determined in anything you choose to do. I also learned that values, character, and respect are the most important things in life. I pledge to you that I will lead the Randolph County Sheriffs Office in a way that will bring back the trust of the citizens of this county. Being Sheriff requires a person who is well rounded in the community and has excellent law enforcement background.  If elected to the Office of Sheriff, I promise to you, I will do everything in my power to make this county safe for you and your children.

I ask for your support on May 8, 2018 in the Republican Primary.
